NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF JOURNALISM MATRICULATES 335 STUDENTS

The provost of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, ogba, Elizabeth Ikem has joyfully accepted new students into the Institution at different level to study Mass Communication.

She expressed this joy on Tuesday while addressing students at the 10th matriculation ceremony of the institute on the 5th, february 2013.

She revealed that α total number of 335 students have been offered Admission into National Diploma(ND),Higher National Diploma(HND) and Post Graduate National Diploma(PGD) both full time and part time level.

She noted,that"10th for the institution is Special, and it symbolizes greatness and the help of God almighty to resourcefully energize Nij into Nigerian's premier polytechnic in Mass Communication"

She added, the matriculation ceremony of today tells the story of an institution that has continued to wax stronger and stronger in Academic Excellence and Relevant to the media Industry.

However she enjoined students to cherish their student ship and make good use of the opportunity given to them not forgetting the challenge they encountered in obtaining admission into the institute.

Adding that, she pleaded with them to be of good behavior and face their studies so they can make remarkable difference in the institution and society at large.

The provost warm fully welcomed the martriculating student into the NIj family giving them full right,opportunities and privileges as students of the institution.

Elizabeth revealed to students that in two weeks time, the International Press Institute(IPI)will conduct a training program for staffs and students of the institute which will increase their knowledge in Communication.

She emphasized on the new development in National Youth Service Corp(NYSC), the demand that every student must have the original copy of Joint admission and matriculation board (Jamb) result and registration number to be able to serve their father land. In related development, the original jamb registration Number and Result is an evidence that admission was obtained through Jamb. She however advised students to make sure they meet the proper requirement to avoid challenges in future.

Students in turn took the matriculation Oat and promised to cherish the opportunity given to them and abide by the rules and regulation Governing the Institution.

With joy and excitement, One of the matriculating ND 1 student korede bello presented a song which he titled "i love Naija"
